The wisdom I've gained is in no way making up for the analytical ability I've lost. Plus my memory is in the shitter. How come no one ever told me that when you turn 30 your shit goes to shit?
On an unrelated note... I just found out that my apartment has been filled with a level of carbon monoxide slightly below what will cause the detector to go off, but still way above what is acceptable for long term exposure. The alarm goes off at 30 parts per million, which is allowed for 8 hours according to OSHA. But my apartment has been at 19 PPM for about 4 months. Extrapolating from the data in the chart, 19PPM is OK for about 20 hours. I've been breathing it for 4 months. Fuck.

Don't try to be something you're not. If you are an elevator inspector, you are an elevator inspector. Don't call yourself a "vertical systems analyst" like the company that inspected the vertical system in my building.
